Named as one of the top 100 trainers in the US by Men’s Journal, this former NCAA division one wrestler and BJJ Pan-American and world championship gold medal winner has become a crutial part of the fabric of modern Jujitsu.
Maxwell’s credentials include being the first American black belt under Relson Gracie, opening the first Gracie Jujitsu school on the East Coast, and being one of the original investors in the UFC. He was also the strength and conditioning coach for Jujitsu legend Royce Gracie and helped prepare him for his historic victory at UFC One. Maxwell’s undeniable talents as a teacher have made him one of the most sought after instructors in the world.
